Tom Jacobs, Vilis Inde, Clifford (our rat errier) & Kriksis (a beautiful rescue dog) are your hosts
during your stay at the Marfa Apartments or Casita. They are full-time residents of Marfa,
having moved here four years ago.
Tom and Vilis operate inde/jacobs gallery on East San Antonio/Hgwy 90 in Marfa.
inde/jacobs specializes in art by Chinati and related artists, including work by Donald Judd,
Dan Flavin, John Chamberlain, and others. See www.indejacobs.com.
Vilis created the photobook "Signs of Marfa". This book summarizes the history, culture and
natural beauty of Marfa through 120 pages of photographs. It is available at the Marfa
Book Co. and the Paisano Hotel. He is also the author of "Art in the Courtroom." & is currently
translating a book by Rainis from Latvian into English - Zelta Zirgs - The Golden Horse.
Vilis serves as the President of the board of Marfa Studio for the Arts, a community arts
organization that provides art classes in the public schools. He is also on the Planning and
Zoning Board of Marfa.
Tom is the co-founder of Complete Value Investor (CVI) www.completegrowth.com, a
fundamental, business-oriented service for individuals who do their own stock investing.

Tom and Vilis enjoy the city life of Marfa, but seek solitude in the Big Bend region.
In addition to their "in town" residence, they spend time at their retreat, which is also
available for rental two-night minimuum. The west entrance of Big Bend National Park is
about 30 minutes from the retreat.
